I've not repeated other individual gimmicks unnecessarily either. The EG example from today was the very first time I've even seen a vert zipper on the back of any of their jackets or anywhere else for matter of fact. My criticism of EG before was almost entirely based on the print 'diarrhea' displayed in the runway stylings.

I would like to share one of the very best acquisitions I've made which arrived a few minutes ago. Most of the reading I did from past threads was rather negative of these shoes, except on the CM side, but I took a 'chance' and now that I have them on my feet I can definitively say they are the very best sneakers I've ever owned. From online pictures I was worried they would look huge but that's not the case at all. They're extremely comfortable and no chemicals were used in the dyeing process. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I just wish they were still in available in smog color as well but perhaps they'll be reissued in the future.

Ok, but you have to tell your Y3 outsole to stop looking like a marshmallow or lose some weight at least. :p

Isachenko is a genius troll, maybe the best Ive ever seen. Such subtlety

Like suggesting the 5zip would look better without the zips
Or those ludicrous shoes just posted

He still draws serious responses

at the same time he just seems like a regilar troll because of his being incredibly abrasive and that is what make his trolling next level.

Distorbiant knows whats up too. Game recognizes game

I see he has also infected the alden thread. Lmao
Please do the epaulet thread too Isa

Pretty sure that those are actually his photos; would be a pretty dedicated troll to drop hundreds of dollars on pissing SF members off.

i like FEIT's designs but burgundy is a strange colour for sneakers

you can probably pair them with greys.. instead of those blue pants

Seriously, I think it's lame for anyone who doesn't ride a bike to wear biker inspired gear. Obviously my opinion doesn't care most posters here disagree. I used to ride a bike, but now that I don't, I don't wear any leather jackets. I would consider a goat suede jacket with a single center zipper, but never a polished 5-zip.

I adjusted the color intensity to compensate for my camera's flash, in normal lighting these shoes go well with blue jeans. See the second professional picture for truer color.

That's a pretty brown burgundy (have seen the Feits in person since they're Australian) and it's not flattering.

here is the #1 reason not to go out of your way to point out when you find something to be gimmick-ey:

pretty much everyone already knows its there. those that dont like it dont buy it, those that do, do. its not news to anyone, nor is it really a valuable point of conversation to anyone.

as an aside, i dont think your sneakers are gimmick-ey, but i do not particularly like them. something about the shape reminds me of diabetic shoes. anyhow, im glad they are working out for you.

I had no idea diabetics had to wear special shoes.  :fu:  It's hard to appreciate the shoes from my pics, the same way people had trouble judging your different trouser types from the camera angle.

The problem with 'tacit' silence on gimmicks, is that all the people who wear them misconstrue silence as approval.

nobody cares about your approval or disapproval. contribute to the community before expecting anyone to take your opinions with any weight.

I've contributed significantly already. My approval is irrelevant, a gimmick's ugly on its own for anyone who has to see it. There's enough ugly in the world already and SF, forum based on style, should rise above that.

just. stop. replying.

for fuck's sake, virtually every assertion he makes is a certain kind of bait (I count two in the post above brad's alone).

either he's intentionally trolling and you're just feeding into him or he's interpersonally oblivious, either way you lose. you're not going to reform him by continuing to shame or deride him. just ignore what you don't like, and he'll come around if he'll come around.
