You're right, I think I read there' more law students than lawyers? That possible? College education for the most part in the states is a huge racket.

i have yet to find a lemaire piece i really like. i've tried a bunch between assembly ny and atelier and always feel underwhelmed. i also didn't care much for the last collection. it's just not quite there for me.

Would your concept combine the deliciousness of fried pork with the cozy and romantic atmosphere of a cat café?

Also, congrats @reedobandito!

You make it sound so not so bad, of course that's the party line that gets paraded in the media, market cheerleaders. AGW's bad for business.

I'm sure the fashion industry will adapt though.

Scientists change their mind every time they open their mouth, I still remember Al Gore talking about something for years and they suddenly saying whoops research says something different now.

As I said the earth has a cycle like fashion and we are approaching a new step, which research proves is a repeat of previous occurrences, but as people still drive V8 trucks because gas is cheap, use coal power and ride around on mopeds that create more CO2 than previously mentioned V8, we can't really do anything than sit back and enjoy the ride.

Happy birthday to me, studying for law school finals. Now I feel old, with tons of student loan debt. It wasn't supposed to be like this!

So you would rather that people cling to their beliefs despite the appearance of new evidence?

You're the reason the new Jurassic Park won't have dinosaurs with feathers!

You are missing the point in my post "don't believe everything you hear"

Dinosaur eggs would make a hell of an omelet. :ember:

Seam ripper (v. cheap) and/or nail scissors. Just do it slowly. : ]

I get where you're coming from. The reality of law school is that if you're going to make it worthwhile, you need to think about how hard you worked in law school, multiply that by two, and that's how hard you're going to work for the next decade of your life. If you're comfortable with that, then six-figure debt for a law degree is a bargain. If you're not comfortable with that, do something else, or get the military to pay for it.

Hey man, put in your 30 years and take advantage of that sweet state employees retirement plan. Unless you live in Illinois, then you're probably screwed.

As long as you always look at your future in six month increments, this is probably true.

Look, I'm not saying this statement applies to you, but you're also certainly not the first person to have made such statements on this forum. I do feel, however, that statements like this, in general, are attributable to people who are either too young to be able to appreciate the trappings of being family man, or those simply too consumed with themselves.

If you're 24 and you love staying out 'til 2 a.m., getting pissed, and making the world bend to your wishes, then that's great. You're 24 and you should feel that way.

Give yourself another decade and shit changes. For many people, they begin to see value in submitting themselves to institutions which are bigger than themselves (marriage, parenthood, etc.). Will all people feel this way, certainly not. Is it wrong to be consumed with yourself beyond your mid 20's, no. But at some point you're going to want something that's substantial, something that isn't temporary, and that doesn't come for free. It means a lifetime of compromise and dreams that you give up. But what you give up, can be more than made up by what you receive in return.

This isn't really a problem for people who live in like 95% of the country, or who made a reasonable down payment when originating their mortgage. As a renter you do preserve optionality, but it does come at an expense. The cost of that added expense could be turned into the additional consumption of booze, food, and clothes.

You're not that old. Work your ass off for the next ten year and reap the benefits.

FTFY. The way rent is in the Bay Area, might as well be mortgage payments anyway. Looking for a house under $1 million that's not in the projects. Anyone?

Also, some dude in China jumped 7 stories inside a mall and killed himself after his girlfriend wouldn't stop shopping for shoes after 5 hours.
