AFAIK it has nothing to do with the seller with respect to profit, but it does amount to forced digital sodomy of the buyer.

G.S.P. import rates (US to Canada) are 36.6% of the auction value based on an item I am watching. This amount is charged up-front every single time, versus paying shipping at cost and taking my chances at the border, where there is about a 1 in 10 chance of getting hit with customs fees, which Canada Customs levies at 13% for clothing.

If I buy a $100 item, it costs $100 and there is a small chance I'll have to pay $13 (plus $9.95 handling or some rubbish) at the border.
If I buy a $100 item through the G.S.P., it's $136 up front.

The House is pretty awesome for a dinner reservation for the money... entrees in the 20-30 dollar price range. It's asian fusion. The appetizers are really great too and usually have a large/rotating specials selection for both apps/entrees.

It's located in North Beach and if you go there definitely check out 15 Romolo which is in an alley right next to it for some of the better mixed cocktails in SF. (No Singlebarrel but that's in San Jose).

More random staples:

For Beer: Toronado, City Beer Store

Another good cocktail spot: Trick Dog

Good chocolate shop: Chocolate Covered

And if you somehow like sake enough to want to buy bottles of it: True Sake

And I'd hope that you have indulged heavily in Mexican food since I think that's something that's hard to match back out east. No real favorites as my favorite places are in the South Bay, but I've been meaning to work my way down this list: http://www.burritoeater.com/taquerias.php?order=omr

And I'm still pushing Deli Board smile.gif My favorite place to eat in SF, but I'm a sucker for a breakfast sandwich that consists of 2 sausage patties, egg, crispy bacon on dutch crunch with thousand island smile.gif But their normal sandwiches are amazing too. But sadly it's closed today.

Yes. Rich people buy lots of stuff like that cuz they are bored.

However, that does not mean its not a really cool bracelet. Who gives a crap what other people do, if you love the style and how it looks on you, and dont mind the price and know you are paying a ton more because of the brand, then rock on, man. Rock the eff on, and enjoy it.

Btw, the plat bracelet is hot, but it will loose than shine and sheen very fast. Plat gets matte pretty quick as it undergoes wear. The gold will stay nice longer.

Also, please buy an ALS some day soon. biggrin.gif

Haha I've been saying that buy what makes you happy quote since I started posting. I had no idea that was a thing though, I buy Blueray movies when I am bored not expensive jewelry, different beginnings I guess

You have to sift through the listing page and uncheckmark the box, as Pitney Bowes is now the default setting. Most experienced buyers avoid all sellers who use this 'service' unless it's a truly irreplaceable item.
