Anybody have a recommendation for where to pick up some horn or wood buttons for an odd jacket? The only ones I could find on ebay were a little more expensive than I expected. Maybe my price expectations are out of line, dunno.

No idea, last sunday I gave a pair of Petrov zip knee pants to platypus/Joseph cause can't fit them anymore as they're true 28 (+ they have a big, non-removable stain so he will need to dye them black), we were just talking about him, he had some good designs, dunno what he is up to now.

Business of Fashion just interviewed him. He's designing exclusively for pets now.

just a short article about people getting rich off fashion. H&M owner is one of the world's 50 richest people, Zara founder is the world's third-richest person and Brunello Cucinelli is also somehow worth $10B?

In other news, last week Bangladeshi garment-factory workers negotiated a 77-percent wage increase, to $68 per month, making their pay still the lowest for garment workers in the world.

Pet by Petrov, his new line, focuses on luxury accessories and knitwear for dogs and cats, with a capsule collection of aquariums set to launch in the spring.

"It's something I've always wanted to do," Petar said. "But the demands of envisioning seasonal collections for humans was a continued distraction."

Petrov was first inspired by what he felt was a glaring gap in the market, a lack of truly high-quality accessories for pets. Watching his neighbors stroll around with their dogs clothed in raggedy knits and dingy synthetic collars pushed him to act.

Those type of articles are always fascinating whether it be from a creative or business viewpoint. Learning about how big conglomerates and corporations started at the bottom, and now here is always interesting. I was just reading the article on the Economist about Twitter and Amazon.
