Acne, Engineered Garments, Dana Lee, Common Projects. I don't know if these fall anywhere within the realm of possibility, but it would be incredible to see SF work out relationships with these brands.
Only plebs wear these brands. It's all about Jos. A Bank.
I think Acne would be considered an established clothing brand now.. but I believe they did start as a mktg/design firm. Still, there are probably other more interesting designers if we're taking a vote.
not sure, i am thinking the former. mocshino on yoox
i posted more because of the satire and images of faces that look like this
RFT: That feel when you get something back from the tailor that you enjoyed wearing less than a week and now the clothing is ruined due to bad alteration job. Never trusting Yelp again.
The tailor tried to account for my different sleeve lengths and ended up chopping off the cuff. Now one side of the cuff buttons is about 1 cm from the hem while the other is a even 4 cm. And this place got 5 star rating. About to give my first Yelp review and "1 star." The dudes were super friendly and accommodating but I guess it was for the lack of skills. Partially my fault, but the overall job is really shotty. Kind of bummed. It was a really nice jacket. And being a member on SF and appreciating clothes, the details, construction, "how-to" etc. makes me more upset when looking at the sleeve. Ugh. I guess I'm just going to wear and beat the shit out of the jacket for all its worth..
FWIW the jacket is still wearable but the sleeve detail is just going to bother the hell out of me (and I'm super paranoid). I wonder how long I will keep it, lesson learned, before tossing.
Yes! the sleeves were passable by most standards. and now I am believing that by just taking in the back it would have alleviated the issue altogether. I should have done that first (hard to mess up) before considering the sleeve length.
The jacket was for work too, which I am more bummed about. More so, it was of the "pitti uomo style", hence, the working cuffs (shorter length, and unique fabric use among other details). Could be dressed down for SWD, too.
I feel like this is what i get for being vain.
Has anyone else had a similar experience and burned/donated/tossed said clothes? I hate this feel. Wearing it tomorrow to a conference is going to make it suck more.
I am hoping this is all serendipity (?) as I believe I'll be receiving a free jacket of similar quality and style tomorrow
