this was all at Century 21. Prices were pretty fair. I'm tempted to go back. PM me if you want me to proxy the silent coat and I'll let you know the price, etc.
Sadly those pants were damaged in a few ways (main button missing, bottom of right leg ripped along the seam). Easy fixes but that makes me think they might make it to further discount
The silent stuff is sort of boring but I will say I do like it, if only for how easy it is to wear. The pants were basically just wool sweatpants with a drop crotch, the tees were nice, and the jacket was cozy enough. It all comes together fine and the colors work well with each other.
The DD stuff was a bit more directional but I think just as easy to wear, at least in this context. I mean, I was rummaging through a sales rack of misc stuff and had no trouble putting something together in a minute or two, but I guess it's usually easy to put something coherent together when you're working with only one designer.
not sure which one you were at but i saw a bunch of the damir/silent stuff at the one near lincoln center. especially on outerwear the cuts and fabrics are really unusual. i thought a lot of the fabrics seemed more ratty than luxurious, honestly, though i'm sure it didn't help that it had all probably been sitting in a musty box somewhere for a while before it was on the racks. was not really a fan.
This was at the Cortlandt Street location, so maybe I should check out Lincoln Center too. You're right in that the fabrics are more ratty than luxurious, but that's exactly what drew me to it
sometimes it works. i have a pair of silent shorts i really like and the fabric is like a cheap heavy towel, but in a good way, if that makes sense. but then there was this weird mainline coat i saw that I think was leather and it looked like it had been chopped at with a knife and then left in a damp shed for about five years.
Just a reminder that this exists:
Can someone post a pic of someone decked in Harnden and post it there?
