anybody who complains about its too hot well into the 80s needs to take a little trip to colorado, a perennial fireball. one big bonfire. the grass screams every time the sun comes out. nature's kiln.

meanwhile seattle feels like nature's pussy. good and wet. fertile like. verdant. a life giving place.

but i guess we're all different

Fuck hot weather, my body runs really warm and I sweat a ton, I'm constantly uncomfortable. Even the slightest physical activity and I'm drenched

Try Tokyo then. 35+ (95+ for Americans) here and it's not a dry heat either - the humidity has hardly been less than 60 and sometimes into the 80s this summer, which means it can feel well over 43-50 / 110-120 (getting towards being dangerous to human health). And I'm pretty sure Hong Kong and Singapore etc. have been worse.

feels flippant, but summer weather is one of the main reasons I haven't moved back to NYC yet

i actually haven't even peeped the measurements, but I've always thought the andover fit a tad large. Hopefully it works out if I do get it.

Are Japanese people exceedingly fashion-conscious or something? Just made the depressing mistake (again, like I do every season) of looking through what some of the boutiques over there buy and it puts Western Hemisphere shops to shame.

I can't think of a parallel rhetorical question to use that doesn't involve an unpleasant stereotype. Suffice it to say, in many cases, yes.

The phrase I've heard many times, though it many not be statistically accurate any longer post-#menswear (and probably never was on styleforum), is that "gay men and Japanese men" are the biggest male consumers of clothing and fashion accessories.

If you don't, no biggie, I'll probably start wearing it when it gets cold enough.

Cheers,

Fok.

Way too big, but thanks anyway smile.gif

You wear it well. Enjoy.

yep. walking along the streets of tokyo at A/W time is something else.  most of them fit the slim lanky profile too.  great hair etc.

There will come a time in every styleforumer's life when he buys a pair of drop crotch pants online, stands in front of the mirror for ten minutes wishing he could make them work, and then returns them.
