I'm going by word of mouth. My barber grew up in the city, and he and the other barber at the shop have a lot of pieces, so I just asked him. He said to look at their portfolios and see whose previous work is most like what you want done (line thickness, work with color if you are using it, similar themes if it's a piece you are getting commissioned and not a pre-existing design). He also recommended a few places where he's gotten work or knows the artists.

I know what I want to get done (this on the inside of my left bicep starting an inch and a half from my armpit down to an inch and a half above my elbow) and I know that just about anyone reputable can print out a picture, stencil it and draw so I wasn't too worried. Still am going with one of the guys he recommended but after I looked at all of their work.

Find on yelp, and then visit them, look at their flash books, and - here's the crazy part - talk to them.

You must savor the biscuit first while it's still hot, fresh, and soft (unless you eat really quick) or else it'll become cold and hard by the end of your meal.

TFW you pull it apart in half and see the steam rise out drool.gifinlove.gif

thinking of doing a real basic line starting with the tees i talked about somebody tell me it's a bad idea

we can do shirts, tees, jeans and jackets with outsourcing of knits to a respectable country

Not a bad idea. You've already got a following!

Well, he didn't either.

Shitty t-shirts just do something to a man.

Spur him to take action;

To right terrible wrongs.

come on man whatchu think

snow i dont think it'll be anything you'd be interested in, won't be conceptual just straightforward but nice kinda like what nom wishes it was or a better apc but not as dilute

anyhow it's just talk at this point
post #82889 of 103516

I'd skip jeans, the market's too diluted.  With tees, I think there's more of a void that can be filled.
