that's awesome

A lot of the collection was made of blown-up pieces of barbie and ken's clothing, weird proportions/giant threads + buttons and all.  Really cool.

Cotonblanc has always been on fire, he's old guard: 90s-early00s Margiela, Helmut Lang, Hermès by MM, Roversi, Moon, Borthwick, Antwerp six.

I've always though sf dudes looked older, thought i was on one end of the spectrum at 23

I guess I'm old enough to be in MC...but I just don't want that for myself. Not now, not yet. cry.gif

You're at least 16?

Note: Moo is younger than me...

Fuuma, I don't think anybody assumed you were anything less than mid-thirties

i am easily old enough ( late 30s...) . crossing over these imaginary thresholds is quite liberating though, you realise you don't have to care.
i guess i'm lucky in that i, and most people i know, don't have to fit into some internalised corporate vision of age-appropriateness

I haven't really tried reading the SF hive-mind, people I know usually assume I'm younger, though usually not 23 but let's say 27 (well it is entirely dress + facial hair dependent). Main point is that the SWD demographic has a lot of dudes 30+, while the students or young adults are numerous they are by no way the only other significant age group in here.

I'd read about it a little before but hadn't seen any pics that I can remember. Seemed a little gimmicky in theory but the actual garments are surprisingly good (it's surprising to me at least).

On a related note, I've never really found an emotional connection to Margiela, OG or 2.0. Conceptually it was really fascinating, but it's not really my thing. The 70s influence that turned up in a lot of the men's stuff kept me at a distance. Not to mention that by the time I was paying attention to fashion he was already out the door.

edit: 30+ club here, too. got my hair cut yesterday and barber asked me if I'd ever considered dyeing my hair since I have so much gray.

There's guys in MC in their early 20's and then there's MoK etc. in Sw&D, who are well above 50.

if anyone ever catches me using hair dye, they have my permission to bludgeon me with the nearest blunt object
post #82784 of 103431
^um, i realise over-30s probably all look the same to you pesky kids but there's no way MoK is over 50...
