I did some reading around and somebody said apply Otter wax, anyone tried it?

It's not really wax.  It's usually a polyurethane coating of some sort.

I'm wondering-- If I buy this jacket from Guyi Consignment, could I return it as long as I leave the Yoox tag attached?lol8[1].gif

I like my pair, but they really are quite skinny - maybe overly so, for the current tastes of SF.

rft: I need a new pair of low top sneakers when I come home in November. I have an old pair of beater navy GATs that need some work, but I think I'm going to replace the insoles and then, after a thorough cleaning of the upper and suede, I want to put that Rustoleum Never Wet stuff on em and see how it works. If it doesn't, I'm out a couple bucks. If it does, might bring some new life to a pair of sneakers I've written off as long gone. And I might get a bit of a painted look while I'm at it. But I still need to grab something in the meantime; multicolor flyknits won't fly with everything.

Yeah, mine are Nudies, Grim Tim's black coated... black jeans with sort of waxy shiny top texture. After the wash they were sort of dull. Tried vigorously rubbing the thighs with my hands and I think they're starting to shine up a little.

Oh, in which case once it's gone it's gone I assume? Best internet suggestion was otter wax, though TBH seems like it'll just make them sort of sticky or something. Any DIY way to recreate the look?

After buying and then selling a couple of pairs, I'm giving up on Common Projects. I like them in theory, but in practice they make my feet look huge (size 44). The combination of the low, elongated silhouette with an all-white color way seems to heighten the effect.

Add pants with a narrow leg opening and it's clown town. Going to give GATs a try instead and stick to black and gray.
