Why don't you make the "jet" shirt? I'd buy one

you know i been toying with doing a basics clothing line ie tees, jeans, simple button ups and knits, i have the connections and it can be done in LA

maybe some day, would be nice if regular peeps could walk into a nordstrom and find something they actually need and would wear instead of all the current garbage they sell

lol no joke, me too.

sleeves are always short on my because my shoulders are so wide.

j, if you got somebody that can pull legit fabric we need to get some tees made up. entire line isn't even necessary. if we're talking like $100-$150 a tee (is this where you'd be?), we wouldn't need that many to make it worth his or her time either. lmk if this is any type of real possibility.

LA really is. California offers the EZ hiring credit, saving businesses up to. $35,000 on a single employee over the course of 5 years. I'm sure it's a big reason why American Apparel makes their stuff there. Not to mention a good supply of reasonably waged textile workers

In Japan, Kyoto and Tokyo. Fashion sightings in Kyoto:
Dude in painted canvas gats in Kyoto station.
A mom in Comme de garçon play shirt and sneakers
Margiella in a karaoke video
A dude wearing nudies backwards like Kriss Kross

Some cool folks in Tokyo but nothing really noteworthy in a SF way. Just a few good fits and a lot of crazy outfits.

Trends I've seen a lot of in Japan, good and bad:
Contrast pant cuffs
Ubiquitous pant rolling way up, often to reveal said contrast fabric
A good amount of full volume pants, often military-repro-esque green cargo pants
Raws on old men
Contrast edging on shirts
Contrast button holes and button stitching on shirts in officewear outfits
3/4 sleeve shirts
Multiple comme de garçon shirts other than on that mom
A lot of dudes I could describe as the Japanese Brad T
So many Crocs on otherwise good outfits
Only a little dip dye
only a little dropcrotch.

Golden Gai might be the coolest place to go drinking in the world.

Wtf the pockets here ruining what would have been a purchase.

Any other dark olive options besides W+H?

Rogue territory right? Yea yuck.

Also for you guys talking about tees, just get a tailor to draw you up a pattern and I'm sure Mauro or someone would be able to get it made for a fee

You go first. Let us know how it works out...

Yeah Rogue Territory. Also, saw a SuFu listing that described the condition as 9.5/10 on some jeans that were already showing pocket and crotch fades.

I grew up and lived in Seattle most of my life. I would say people don't really care about fashion much over there. function over form due to the weather (a lot of north face etc) and the kids are very much in the "hipster" fashion due to the hip hop culture (bboys, macklemore&ryan lewis, blue scholars). pm me if you want any info regarding the area

The arrival of Thurston Bros. leather just really doesn't match up at all to Drew's operation. ToJ is going to be sorely missed when it's finally gone. frown.gif
