Opening Ceremony picked up Dries and Raf for the fall. Was in the store today and saw the first drop. Dries looks awesome, Raf is meh but damn, pretty awesome. Very happy for them and more options for epic jawnz for the rest of us.

not really feeling the fall dries stuff. saw a bunch at barneys and jeffrey. a lot of it looks too much like upholstery for me.

Ippudo is tasty though prepare to wait a bit depending on when you go.

i've seen the wait there be upwards of two hours on a weeknight. crazy sometimes. but the best part is that you can get their pork belly baos at the bar and drink while you wait.

I might be in Montréal for a few days next week, any recommendation for food, bookstores and general things to do?

I had a great bowl of ramen at Menkui Tei.

If you go during the lunch hours it's not too bad. And they take your number, so he could walk up to the Strand and look at books till he gets called.

What kind of things are you interested in doing?

For food, you have to try poutine, obviously. La Banquise is the most famous but I think Poutineville is better. There is also a great Japanese izakaya called Kazu which is one of my favourite restaurants ever.

I've had Ippudo a couple times over the past few stops in NYC and it didn't strike me as good. I was far more impressed with Totto ramen despite it being a chicken based broth (that ain't even a bad thing).

I also noticed there's a Ramen Misoya in NYC ... I don't know about that one, but the one in Montreal is incredible.
