Death to flippers
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
as long as there are enough buyers to make it worthwhile for the "flipper" and he doesn't scam or does some shit like that to obtain the items in question, how could it possibly be something wrong with what he's doing?

I do think its scummy to flip concert tickets.

I think it's fair to think that this place is sort of a community where we might share good deals with each other instead of jacking up prices for our own profit.

Yeah, well, wait till you spend hundreds of dollars on gas and zillions of non-billable hours touring thrifts and consignments, riflling through row after row after row of Old Navy and Stafford (enough that you start having dreams about it) to find that one, semi-neat-o sw&d piece, the one that will invariably languish on b&s, netting you many lost hours of lowballs, and many more of measurements and inquiries, only to sell for a meager-ish price (a very good deal!) and only to learn it's all for your own, miserly profit. Because I'm a community, damnit. I deserve to pay the exact dollar amount you paid, damnit. And would you ship for free, damnit, because I heard someone did that once on sufu. Also I won't leave you feedback. bigstar[1].gif

oops, I thought we were talking about people buying stuff here and flipping it. Yeah, obviously you can flip stuff you buy elsewhere (if you can get anyone to buy here these days)

B&S woes.

I don't imagine anyone could profitably flip within our own little b&s ecosystem. Has this been done?

Maybe not as much these days, but yes, there have been a few folks who've done it as a job (they're usually located to nicer outlets).

tfw you accidentally pay sutocorp using usd instead of jpy.

on the other hand, there are also industry insiders, stylists, assistants and reviewers that acquire many pieces for free, sample and retail, and make a side job of selling to places in l.a. like wasteland, crossroads, bufallo exchange, flea markets and ebay and these sites. Nothing wrong with that even if they are making 100% profit.

Was at Traffic LA earlier today. The sales guy said they get a new brand called Knomadik by Daniel Patrick. Their products are interesting enough, some Rick Owen-ish styling, everything designed and made in LA locally, with very reasonable price. Anyone have some knowledge of this brand?

Tonight I'm having my first proper solo gig. Playing piano for a couple hours at a seaside restaurant's porch in my hometown. Pretty stoked. Gonna record the whole thing and hopefully get some material to put up on YouTube.
