I played through this and Borderlands 2 over winter and I think I got more hours/more enjoyment out of Borderlands 2, but FC3 was fantastic nonetheless.

I sold an item.
Buyer claimed never received. Funds got put on hold.
I provided tracking (delivered).
Buyer never escalated case.
30 days later, the case closed. Update email stated the funds were now available, but they never appeared in my account.

I called paypal/Ebay up and they were pretty damn clueless. They ended up telling me to wait 24 hours since they had no clue why I didn't have my money.

Not sure why you would ever leave money in PayPal account

This.

Always unload paypal immediately unless you know you're making a purchase tomorrow that meets or exceeds what's in there.

When did the update email come?

Edit: I don't get it, where did he say he had dough in the account, the $$ that you guys are saying he shoulda removed?

How could the funds be put on hold unless they were in there?
Presumably there was a reasonable delay between the date he shipped and the date the buyer filed Item Not Received. I can't imagine anyone filing a claim within a week, and it takes less than a week to withdraw Paypal balance money to your own bank account.

That still doesn't help the guy at all, though. But essentially it sounds like nobody outside of Paypal is going to be able to resolve it anyway.

If you link your bank account to your Paypal, they will withdraw the funds from your bank.

Yep, paypal has me by the balls. I had actually just received payment for a different item when paypal zapped $83 of my money and put it on "hold."

Thirty long days later after waiting for this dude to respond to the dispute, it auto-closes and paypal tells me the money has been taken off hold. But it sure as hell isn't there.

Some 0 feedback buyer just BIN'd my boots on ebay, payment marked as sent but obviously there's nothing in my paypal, I'll never see that money.

What kind of lame budget scam is that shit, can't believe people are falling for it. It's so basic it makes me sad.
so if the buyer marks it like payment sent on his ebay it also shows on yours? what?
