I feel like it's been a while... In the past six months, I met a great woman, fell in love, moved in with her, and now live on six acres in the country with three kids, a dog, 15 chickens, two goats, and two cats. Haven't bought any clothes in that time, but have recently picked up a few things due to dropping a size or two. I think my summer uniform is my Stetson flat cap, Norse Projects Neils tees, jeans, and chucks. Hipster Dad, I'm told.

I bought one thing from the Steven Alan sample sale and got six shipping notifications. I have no idea what to expect.

^I ordered a dress for my wife on like the first day and still have not received a shipping notification. But it's not for me so I don't really care

Chucks pretty much work with everything though and Erroll usually wears them or some sort of varvatos iteration in his lookbooks so you might already be on your way there. I personally have wasted a lot of time picking different things and trying to make them work together and been hugely disappointed with the results, so I like brand cohesion.

Yeah, I really like the aesthetic of full Acronym but at the same time I feel like it leans a bit far into costume if you go full out. I think as of right now I'll probably work on getting some better basics, since budgetwise I can probably afford one Acronym piece or a good amount of basics. Maybe keep an eye out for a 3A-5TS on sale or something. My chucks are getting quite filthy which is great but at the same time they're starting to fall apart, I think it's time to look for some new shoes.

Read Tim's intro to techwear if you haven't yet.  I don't really follow that stuff but he knows his shit.

Good read

Anyone happen have any other well-written "introductions" to different aestethics bookmarked?

Seeing how my "style" is still pretty generic, reading stuff like this (the one you posted now and the gothninja-post on reddit) is very very interesting smile.gif

Huh, nothing there from Z. He must've forgotten to purchase a pack of rubbers.

Or a vasectomy,

IIRC he already had a daughter and the aforementioned woman he fell in love with already had two kids.
