I just received some damir shorts that's are a linen ramie mix (or cotton ramie)
The weave is quiet thick and slubby so looks like it holds its shape well. Ill report back when I get to wear them since its been a bit cold here.

Just putting this little dose of awesomeness here in case not everyone saw it...

It is going to be called "Styleforum Market" and "Styleforum Store" for now, but simplicity's sake, but we will probably change it once it gets off the ground.

especially pre-orders can turn out so cool, like LA Guy said, a "kickstarter" for clothing icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

the latter

+pre-orders for special pieces that wouldn't otherwise reach the market, with full refunds if the "project" in question doesn't reach the required goal (like Kickstarter) icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I'm planning on visiting the USA and Canada over their winter, when it's snowy. Walking around Mildura (where I live in rural Australia) last night (when it was about 3-4 degrees), I realised that sneakers won't be enough in colder weather - I need some boots. Should I just grab some RMW (australian brand, can be worn almost anywhere - can be made very nondescript), or do people have some recommendations for other boots that are sturdy, can work in other situations (as opposed to some Red Wing/White Mountaineering boots) and aren't super expensive (like Guidi, etc)?

Probably not wanting to spend over $500, other options might be Andrew Mac, Buttero (if they've got anything?), Jun (depending on Price), but given I live in a hot climate, I don't really know where to start.

I have decided that I am going to London next weekend. Which $W&Ders will be there?

Trying to get back into the game and don't know where I want to go with my wardrobe, all I know is mine is pitifully boring. Haven't bought any non-snow related clothing since last summer/fall.

I think that something with lug/commando soles would be great for winter.
You can also topy some leather soled boots.
I wouldn't worry about your feet being overly cold. I wear leather or suede boots in the winter and I'm comfortable!

after dinner, I got stuck in traffic for a good 20 minutes because of a naked bicyclist parade. Never seen so much flopping deeks in my life biggrin.gif
