In my case it was liquid idiocy and having woken not knowing how you got home covered in your own vomit more than once, the enjoyment of getting shit faced drunk disappears.

If and when I drink alcohol it's nice whiskey, wine or gourmet beer.

@FOK what happened to the RFT thread?

I've been binge drinking alcohol since basically age 18.  I'm 31 now.  Didn't really realize it's binge drinking, but when you look back on it, every weekend, you go at least 4-5 drinks at a time, often way more.  Seemed normal at the time.

Cut out weekly alcohol since the first of the year and dropped nearly 10lbs.  Don't miss the weekly binge.  But definitely do enjoy my drink with friends--everything in moderation tho.

I dunno. It's around. Just no one posted in it and it got bumped off the front page. Search for it and bump it up.

What I fail to understand about my age group (college/early 20's) is the large number of people who don't drink at all day-to-day but HAVE to get completely shitfaced when they go out. I like wine with dinner and mixed drinks when I go out, but all-out binge drinking has never held any appeal for me.

One of my dumb ass mods deleted a post, and then the thread. FACK.

Cheers,

Fok,

Molson aside, your countrymen brew some fantastic beers. Péché Mortel by Dieu du Ciel is a delicious - if somewhat difficult to find - coffee-infused stout, and almost everything made by Unibroue (with the exception of Ephemere) is fantastic. Unibroue focuses on Belgian styles, so you won't find many of the bitter hops flavors that some people who are new to beer find objectionable.

The first post was by miran, up to his usual food derails in RFT. People fell for it, and someone made it into an actual food thread. Then it disappeared when the troll account was deleted.

Yeah, this. Trois Pistoles and La Fin du Monde are two of my favorite beers.

And I just caught up on like 50 pages of WAYWT. Now I need a drink.
