It was definitely her then! I didn't really want to risk being mistaken in that scenario and I was with family members anyhow haha

I always forgot how much fun Montreal can be. People should visit there instead of Toronto or Vancouver

You've created a monster baller icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

But he's going to be disappointed when he can't find the geller zip blazer frown.gif

Just saying, would make sense

Man I'm so tired of buying clothing online. This weekend I went into a brick and mortar shop, tried on a ton of stuff and gladly paid retail for a few shirts. 3 dimensional is the way to go when it's available to you.

Growing up, I remember my dad wearing mtm suits and polished shoes to work every day, looking pretty sharp. I don't think he ever really found a casual look he was comfortable with, which I find kind of sad / weird. Nowadays he's most often got a slacks + tee + rockport thing happening. Which is pretty boring, but a helluva lot better than him chasing a #menswear look, imo.

I've got this crazy idea that by the time I retire most of my wardrobe will be the same, just more beat to shit, patched, and repatched. Head to toe boro. I don't want to think about new clothes when I'm 60. Just stop in on my tailor every so-often. We'll see how it goes.

The classic "they took away my pension" look. I dig.

This is what I'm going for:

Ah, so that's why you recommend La Banquise!

Also:

The Surface to Air side zip boots finally arrived in the proper size and I absolutely love them. (Kinda worried that I'll wear them too many days in a row and completely wear them out before the winter is even over.) Anyway, definitely feeling like there's a sort of cowboy-ness to them, and I really dig that. I see for myself a mix between contemporary tailored, cowboy-/western-inspired, and "casual" (whatever the hell that means).

I imagine I'll probably always have to keep abreast of contemporary "preppy" stuff (cf. Club Monaco and J. Crew lookbooks), if only for professional settings; but I'm beginning to really like elements of the Visvim and White Mountaineering styles (just a pair of examples), which I could really see myself slipping into even though I could probably never leave the punkish-aspiring stuff behind me (like leather jackets, t's with droopy necklines, black- and/or grey-only fits—none of which is necessarily distinct from other styles, but you get the picture).

It's a nice mixture I think, and a few of the items I have (or plan to have) in my wardrobe—the S2A boots, the R&B jacket, a "western" Sandro shirt, super-faded Uniqlo/Levis blue jeans—really let me push further into the "yeah, I could be a 'minor' Walking Dead character" field without looking cartoon-y. alien.gif

I know polos are anathema in SW+D, but anyone recommend a decent one in the banlon style?

Like Ervell's, or close. Don't need the silk blend fabric or $200 price:
