And damn eBay sellers want to move stuff, in a kopping mood last night and sent a few lower than I would normally offer offers and all got accepted. Right before the Barneys sale too

Moved to DTLA a few weeks ago. Was walking down 7th today and went right past you and your wife. Wanted to shout STANELYVANBUREN WE MEET FINALLY! And proceed to pretend to be Miran. But I didn't. Cool shirt.

That guy from the MC side who started Luxeswap just bought a Ferrari from his thrifting/consignment earnings.

It's "only" a 360 spider, so it's not that expensive, but non the less impressive.

They have a few different models, Graham is 5'11/6 foot and ~150lbs iirc, but yeah, he's only one of them.

Really good guy. I'm happy for him. I will need to ride that Ferrari.

So, I got a pair of boots I've been hunting down for a long time off ebay.  The seller said they had barely been worn (....similar to what every seller says lately...) but there are pretty severe creases above the toe area, where your foot normally bends, and the heel/sole have been worn down a lot.  Plus, the boot is black but at the toe and heel the natural leather color is starting to show through.

"just return it or open a case" you might say.  Problem is, they fit incredible and I don't want to wait another 6 months until I somehow manage to come across another pair.  I can take them to a cobbler and get them reconditioned and vibramed or resoled, but that's kinda shitty for a pair of boots I just bought under the assumption they weren't totally, completely, and heavily used.

I messaged the seller on ebay asking for a partial refund to just cover the costs of what the cobbler will charge me to recondition the shoe, and he said that they got creased from laying down in the closet (haha) and that I got them for a "hell of a deal" and should just be thankful.

Really pissed me off, but if I open a case, they will say to just return the boots. Sadface. frown.gif

I'll just put some elbow grease into them and do the best I can, for now.

That the guy is responding to your concerns with "you got a hell of a deal," should let you know that if you aren't getting anything more from him. Unless he's an idiot, this doesn't sound like a full-time seller, so he's not going to be threatened by possible negative feedback, nor is he going to go above and beyond what he perceives to be the call of duty to make sure his buyers are happy. He's probably a bit chapped that the boots sold for as little as they did, so the prospect of refunding a portion of that to you probably seems unappealing enough where he'll probably just tell you to go pound sand if you keep on him about it. File a Significantly Not as Described claim through eBay or just accept the boots as they are.
