Hahahah - good question, seriously..

surprisingly,.....shockingly....it's grown on her..and kinda fast. She really liked the fit I posted the other day in silent and geller - not just the photos, but in real life. She's open with respect to her telling me when she thinks I look silly, etc, but she was just totally digging it...and is pressing for more fits! I'm like..."hold on! hold on! patience -- we order from DHL now and our orders are coming from across the big pond and not just Canada!!". She loves the doma silent stuff a lot. The tees, the hoodie. She's all frugal normally and discourages me buying online but I was forced (0) to buy a pair of silent sweats (long sweats)....and I was like..."okie..

"

She's also pressing for a pair of high-tops and wants me to get mmm highs or this pair of CP achilles on ebay right now. She's like, "you need high tops to make some of these outfits work right.." (mind you she lurks SF, religiously). And i'm like, "I know, I know....they're expensive though! I've gotten so much lately! C'mon!". And she's like, "Well, don't be surprised and don't say I didn't tell you so if people on SF say you need a pair to bring the look together...", all snooty, nose in the air....hahahaha.

Anyway - long answer short - she's on board with the x-over.

Oh, and who'd of thunk they'd ever see the day...?

On the 21st we depart for a 2 week+ adventure down the east coast. No itinerary (outside of reservations at a little beach shack the first two nights in Indiatlantic Florida...lol), and are just going to play it by ear. Hanging along the east coast of Florida, then making our way back up the coast to the outerbanks (Avon, NC) for the weekend of July 4. Should be crazy and should hopefully find some cool opps for lifestyle/fits along the way....(I will be wearing my nail ring in some parts of the US South as it actually looks pretty damn trill -- all depending on how you carry yourself when you're wearing the ring(s).).

Any boarders between Washington DC and Cocoa beach FLA want to kick it between June 21 and Jul 1 send me a PM anytime. Serious inquiries only!

I guess in thinking about this you could also apply the same rationale and say "lol @ buying 100% cotton pieces". It's all just cotton, right? maybe some seams and stitches?

In my opinion there are worse ways to spend 10 bucks or so than supporting a fellow board member doing some jewelry in his free time. And even if they are just nails from a h/w store.. there is a certain amount of hands on craftsmanship that goes into each one. Enough to justify the very small cost thatguy is charging..

additionally, I think a bigger lol would be buying a $700 dollar nail from CCP.

some fits.. (mind you i mis-sized and can only wear on the pinky finger, currently).

How do the nails feel after a while wearing them? They don't get irritating or anything?

Damir Doma shorts so comfortable, so soft.

snow - the vintage tee was her idea, actually

She thought the color look appropriate and liked the mish-mash of old & new. I have a geller tank now, silent tank, a couple silent tees (thanks notwithit!) and now the RO (yes, it was, hah!) which should help me along...(edit; thank for the well wishes on the trip, man! I'm bringing my macbook..

)

dwyhajlo - so far so good with respect to comfort. Thatguy was good at making sure there was nothing abrasive facing the skin -- all just smooth surface. The nail-point is also kind of hammered or ground down a bit so you can't cut yourself or someone else..

I'm all for supporting the legal activities of other forum members but come on, you're not actually serious about this bullshit or expect any of us to believe it, do you? "Craftmanship?" Sure, it looks cool but the dude is bending a ******* nail.

Out of curiosity, and whether you 'would want to' or not aside, do you have the ability to bend a nail into a wearable piece of jewelry? I do not. I didn't really intend on spending the afternoon defending what thatguy is toying around with in his workshop and selling to board members for dirt cheap, so I'm going to stop now. I don't even think he wants to make anymore so it's probably unwanted attention anyway.

Yeah white vibram is nice but IDK if it goes with anything I have as it's abit workwear

Would probably wear like this in NY/LA early next year:

TOJ Black Bomber with shearling
Schneider charcoal wool stole
White broadcloth hidden placket buttonup
Black Raw jawnz
Trickers

I might PM Fok because he got some IIRC, might see what he thinks

Is a good pair of black laceups as much of a 'staple' in one's wardrobe as MC likes to put it? Thinking about picking up some as I only have a pair of Paul Smith brown brogues that double up as my dress shoes/casual with jeans/button up every now and then. I feel brown looks best with almost everything but in some settings (meetings with professors, shadowing doctors, etc) that it might be more appropriate to be wearing some black laceups. Thoughts?
