Remember when $250 sneakers were crazy? Yeah, man. That was nuts.

^ Common Projects at $400 is some bullshit.

It's a more common occurrence lately. If not 50% it's certainly significantly lower than the asking price. Things just don't move as quick as they used to, even when you list hot fire.

Hey book people, I haven't read anything voluntarily in probably eight years or more but now I think Margaret Atwood is super cool because of The Knife so I just tore through Oryx and Crake in two days and I'll probably do Year of the Flood next week.

Anyone read either of those/have an opinion on her? Or similar recommendations?

Have I been duped/am I a book hipster now? Is that a thing?

I had a closed listing where someone offered me $40 for a grosgrain placket Thom Browne oxford. I was only asking $100 which I thought was already reasonable.

Pretty normal, routinely get offers for $650-700 shoes for about 50-100 range

she's ok. she's kind of a poor man's kazuo ishiguro. i personally hated oryx and crake, was just a collection of worst scifi tropes/cliches

Haha I hope not. nah man just keeps your imagination fit is all. feels like ppl pass her by on account of her age, but she def brings it. maybe that's oversimplified but I'd read her over a lot of franzen type douchery most days. You should put your two cents in the reading thread, would love it if the place became a I don't know what treasure trove for word nerds, like more reviews where people are batting impressions around than just 'hey this is what I'm reading' and w/n type deal.

I tried on this Robin Cameron for Etudes shirt yesterday, sized up, and in addition to being really freaking cool, the first thing that came to mind was that it made me want to air guitar and rock back and forth in the dressing room like Trey does in this concert. (around 5:48 - the next few minutes)

I thought tech ninja was the dominant aesthetic for nerdy idm guys

Oh, and speaking of tech ninja, I want to hear some stories about Isaora's quality. Cause there have been varying accounts. And you know I can't stick my toe in that ish until I know it won't fall apart on me. What have been y'all's experiences?
