I freaked out, ran out and bought one for my apartment, opened all the windows (it was the middle of the winter), and spent a restless night half-asleep. And of course in the middle of the night the fucking detector in my apartment went off. A visit from an inspector and a series of angry phone calls to my landlord later, it turned out the detector upstairs was malfunctioning and the alarm in my apartment couldn't be explained.

Got neither and don't plan on buying either.

and the conversation comes full circle. do you ever think that this thread is our whole lives? and we're just playing it out, over and over?

what if we're all daniel day lewis and we're so immersed in the role of the people we think we are that we've forgotten that we're actually daniel day lewis?

Someone should try bleaching an old, unused piece of silk (like a damaged tie), just to see what happens. Maybe just maybe it could turn into a fashion-forward accessory.

Yoox has a few nice ones to try out.

I cannot believe the Missoni gray textured leather hat is now final sale. Should have tried it when I had a chance. ffffuuuu.gif
Not a fan of the hole texture / detail but it could work well. Does size 'M' usually correlate to 7 1/4"?

So, does anyone want to go to Downtown shop this weekend in SF? I am sure they would have some hats to try on.

I don't want to show up by myself, but I also have not met anyone here before, but the latter seems more comforting. At least we can walk into the store together quietly rather than alone.
It will be my first time in that area so it's going to be super awkward. I don't have plans to venture around anywhere else so we can go our separate ways afterwards.
