Financial company. But I wouldn't say it's terribly uptight because some people wear ridiculous shit, especially women. And I can freely wear leather jackets over shirt/tie/slacks. Just wondering if I could hold out on Aldens for another 15 years and instead keep buying stuff like MMM and APC to wear in corporate environments[if need be].

similar vein, yeah. i mean, eg blazers aren't like a necessity, they just seem to fit what i want to do quite well and at a relatively good price point. someone on here said once that eg can be worn almost as a cheaper alternative to paul harden, which is kind of a cool way to look at it.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
IMHO

Who said anything about five years? If you want to spend a year - or five - doing something you want to do, I don't consider that a void. A lot of people hate bar-tending, a lot of people love it. I have a neurosurgeon friend who did it for a couple of years. It's not a death sentence. People gotta live. The straight-track isn't for everyone.

Should be fine - I wear mine with trousers regularly.

There's a professor at my old university who is a bartender at my favorite watering hole. I hope he's a good prof, because he's an atrocious bartender in every aspect.

Cop ban is going great, over buying shit for the time being.

This was one of the most revolting things I have ever read.

A simple "no" would have sufficed.

It's not everyday a person blows over $600k on clothes they look fucking awful in. Since the situation is excessive, I felt the language justified.
