Random fashion thoughts - Page 5054

Want to post a fit pic of a dior homme suit I have from AW2005, but too scared in case I get negative comments about the fit and it puts me off wearing it ever again. It was about half a size too big, so I took it to a tailor, who I think got it spot on. I guess if I'm confident about it, I shouldn't worry about the thoughts of others so much.

Kind of think it looks best with a t-shirt and a pair of side-zips, in the rock 'n' roll spirit of the collection. What do you guys think? Is that 'allowed'?

The fabric on this thing is amazing.

guess you have no choice but to kill them all.

shryke, if you like it don't post a pic. a crappy pic is going to throw off the proportions and probably distort the color. you have little to gain and more to lose. if you like just wear it. and yes, that's "allowed" but don't worry about what people on the internet say is "allowed." in fact, disregard this whole post...

How awkward would it be if he turned around and was like "uhhh...dude, why are you feeling my sweater?" and then you'd be like "well...um...you see, I thought it might have been S..Schneider, ya know? And I don't know, I guess it's not but, um...uh..."

I'm sending one negative thought so that effectively cancels out sipang's positive one

this has been discussed before but it's a recurring thread that seems to get brought up every now and then. a lot of those guys view WAYWT as harsh or too snarky, or just not in line with the style they are going for (which is not true at all; look at Parker or MoK). my past suggestions to post in WAYWT are typically never heeded and like you suggest, it's tough to be the only one to start offering critique in a brand's thread where people are just showing off pieces from that brand.

but epaulet has also moved more towards MC casual from when they first showed up selling raw denim, moleskin trousers, and flannel shirts. a lot of these guys are office workers who are looking mainly for a slightly-better-than-jcrew look with better construction, materials, etc., so a lot of it is going to end up looking like a better-fitting version of the ask andy trad forum.

Plus, a lot of the ones who are copping left and right just need time for their shit to actually get old and develop some wrinkles and scuffs here and there, I dunno.

With the yen falling, YJP and proxies etc. might become even more attractive, especially for brands with high overseas markup.
