my go-to is ketel 1, but everyone has their favorites. I always enjoy sampling small-batch offerings. Ketel or grey goose are easy to have on hand, and I think that both make a good drink.

If you're going gin, try a "chunnel" : 2.5 measures floral gin, .5 elderflower (adjust for sweetness - I think the usual recipe calls for 2:1), 3/4 meyer lemon juice (again, adjust as desired). One of my favorite gin cocktails.

I had to bolster the last of my sipsmith's vodka martini with smirnoff tonight; it was a horrible experience.

I may need to make myself a chunnel. I received this bottle of blue coat gin as a gift and it has some pleasant citrus and floral notes not evident in other gins I've tried (but then again I haven't tried that many).

$15 for black label is ridiculous. red label was actually my first taste of alcohol..

xxx the song, and album, are amazing.
The Danny Brown

Considering the refrain at the end of the song you just posted is "I depend on these drugs," that's not exactly an out there statement.

The Danny Brown hype reminds me of MF Doom's rise in the early-2000's. Awkward cadence, strange voice, sparse beats, white hipster appeal, etc.

Favorite Danny Brown verse I've heard

Let me rephrase the drug part: he probably does the most drugs besides marijuana/lean out of any semi-mainstream rapper.

Danny definitely has some good songs. He lacks the consistency to be considered one of the best out IMO. From a personal standpoint, I don't enjoy his delivery (I also don't like Kendrick's). Kendrick's album is not the poetic picture painting masterpiece people try to make it out to be. Nas's album was better: that's excluding my nostalgia, and including that horrible "summer on smash" song.

I enjoy DB, however I can't listen to him for extended periods of time due to his cartoon-ish voice (probably why I like him more as a featured artist on tracks, short and sweet); however I rather liked that new one, his voice sounds less forced/fake. Hopefully that's the direction he goes on Old.

Kendrick's album is great, but yeah, certain people are overrating it on the basis it's A SERIOUS PIECE OF ART.

Who do you like these days?

You're just gonna ignore freestyle and it's contribution to urban music? "OK" That Vicetone track is an example of two internet hyped artists making a collabo that's probably going to get meaningful promotion/push from that particular crowd.

Johnny Walker Gold is average. It's that middling tier between Green and Blue label.

I'm listening to a lot of everything these days depending on my mood. Everything from ignorant garbage party music to backpack rap to electronic. There's a time and place for all of it.

What rappers specifically?
In no particular order, people who've put out stuff semi-recently: Freddie Gibbs, Big K.R.I.T., Brother Ali, Fabolous, IamSu, Mayalino, etc. I get like 40+ rap songs/mixtapes every day so
