Would love to see that jacket, shah. Pants too for that matter. Those opening looks were my favorites from that show

I think this can be an issue with a lot of things you see on-the-runway / in a magazine / on a model who is 6'3" / window display of famous architect design store / etc. Add cool photography, setting and music and some odd-ball stuff can start sounding pretty good in your mind. The acid test for me is always to just try something on, and think about integrating it into the rest of my wardrobe.

This season's Yohji is totally hippy-boho though  ;-)

Why not get some momotaros or japan blue from blue owl and taper them? Dior raws arent that good.

So what you're saying is "Why not get something different and then alter to be like something else?"

Yeah, completely agree. Even something that looks great on the rack right in front of you can look straight up weird once you put it on. And sometimes, happily, the reverse is true, too.

Love it when that happens. The reverse.

So many better options than dh mij.

dunno if it's still available, but for example about a month ago I got a pair of 19cm indigo (MiI - are they cheaper?) Diors for $280 shipped to North America. I think it was a pretty good deal. Got them off LuisAviAroma

and a random fashion thought... what's the difference between broken in and broken down? I have Converse and Keds which to my eye just look beat up and worn out but I know there's a whole culture around seeing them broken in and stuff, I don't understand it, can someone explain? I usually scrub mine every few weeks to get them looking as clean as possible again, and now as i'm about to toss them, I'm wondering if somewhere out there someone is cringing because they're finally getting 'good'...???

I don't mind my stuff looking worn in because that's the way it should be. But there's a point when you have to accept the fact that it's glory days are over and simply move on.

I can't believe I used to have full on debates on who was better between Raf and Hedi.

having a reedo style identity crisis (nohate reedo)

feel like I shouldn't own 2 rick leathers

not even sure I should own one

for whatever reason, find myself reaching for non-leather outerwear much more often

but they're so cool

ugh
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
any 44-46s want to buy a black oiled calf mollino or gray blistered lamb intarsia?
