I'm just wondering because I bought a Junya jacket for pretty cheap (but still the same amount I've paid for other used Junya), but it's in a completely different colorway than what was actually produced. I managed to find one that was similar to mine (i.e. same colorway but different from production) on a Japanese site for like $1,000, but it's one of those used consignment places or whatever. The guy I bought mine from runs the same type of store, and when I contacted him he said that a "friend who worked CdG sold it to him in 2010" and that it's probably a sample. Makes sense, but the only thing that makes me uneasy is that my jacket is missing the characteristic white Made in Japan CdG label under the blue Junya Watanabe CdG label. Anyone with more experience with Junya want to chime in if this happens?

That said, it's a pretty fucking awesome jacket. Construction is solid, it doesn't feel flimsy so nothing really gives it away that it's a fake, and it feels like Junya. All other tags are there and stuff and I've checked with my other Junya pieces as well. It's from 2006 so I don't know if Junya fakes really even took off back then, or why anyone would fake this particular jacket in a blatantly different colorway.

I may just be dumb or something, but when you buy something you want to make sure that it's really what you bought, you know?

i mean, it could be fake, but why fake an item in the wrong colorway? and why a lesser known item? from what you described it could definitely be a sample, and maybe that's why it doesn't have all the tags.

That's what I'm thinking, too. But I just wanted to hear others' opinion on it. Make me feel better, guys, or make me sad. Whichever works for you.

Finally got the entire "Slimane's Saint Laurent" experience this weekend at the Vegas boutique. Odd mishmash of new, pared-down clothes against the red lacquer walls and brass accents of their prior store concept. The clothes are pretty unremarkable in person, with only so/so fabrics at inflated prices. Bags, too, are expensive despite mediocre materials and construction.

The shoes and small leather goods looked nice, though, and not terribly priced. The johdpur boots are on my wishlist.

Quick question for the margiela heads: How do pants in 46 fit, i.e what waist size does it compare to? And does Margiela even make their jeans/pants in 44?
