BS has been a buyer's market for a while now. If anything, the items are undervalued compared to what folks are willing to pay for final sale items at etailers and consignment shops.

I looked at the customs form, he shipped it almost exactly a month after I paid for it (though he marked it shipped immediately and never mentioned this).  Makes me feel much less bad, especially since I gave him another couple weeks for it to arrive after the ebay time limit ran out.  I think I'm just going to ship it back ground and hope I don't get nailed with customs.  He also didn't respond at all to messages.

Being slow to ship does not justify theft. You either send it back on your dime just as you would for a normal return had you not liked the item, or you pay for it as originally agreed because you received it. You're free to be upset that the person took so long, but you don't (shouldn't) just get to keep thing for free because paypal sided with you.

no, I didn't just notice it last week. it's something i've seen on various websites for the past couple of years. i'm just saying it's a pretty stupid trend and anyone who wears cropped trousers should have their balls flogged with a sack full of door knobs

Who said anything about just keeping it... I'm just pissed because he's a shitty seller.  The thing took so long to arrive (2 months) that I spent the money I'd allocated for it, assuming (justifiably) that he was just a scammer.  Now I have to pay to ship it back and possibly get hit with a big customs bill.

A lot of the time I notice these items are just from the sales section of online stores and seller just reselling it at a higher price.

I just think that's due to the normal haggling that goes on so seller's are forced to price a bit higher like me. Some prices are set and some aren't you just gotta ask for a reasonable price and see what happens.

You have a right to be angry and never buy from that seller again. You were right to open the case. Now that you've received the item though, it should be treated just like the original transaction. Payong customs and shipping back if you didn't like it was something you always had to do from the minute you placed the order, regardless of the ship date.

I've been having a hard time finding jackets/outerwear that fit me for a while now. I'm basically a 46 with 48 chest, so everything either doesn't fit in the shoulders or is too long (or both). I can't really get shoulders or length tailored without messing the piece up. Only solution so far has been toj. Are there any items or brands I should be trying or looking at? I'm interested in leathers, unstructured blazers (more on the cropped side), wools.

Post a pic! I know my tolerance/preference for shoulder width has changed over time, where I've grown to tolerate or even enjoy jackets with slightly broader shoulders. Not to be too presumptuous, but maybe that could be the case with you? Like, your jackets might fit better in the shoulders than you think they do. Or I could be wrong, in which case yeah raglan and unstructured jackets would be your best bet.
