I'm not really interested in avant garde stuff because I know what I like and have been always relying on it (shouldn't even say coming back because I never left). People preach to others about branching out etc and that's fine if their wardrobe isn't already impressive but that's not for me. If anything doesn't fit me properly I will pass it on. I don't have any really crazy pieces by our standards no but by an ordinary person's metric undoubtedly so. I'm at a happy place right now and don't think I will be copping much anymore and if I do it will only be because I've sacrificed something else in order to accommodate.

I'm with you man.. I have a closet full of shit, and all i wear is wings and horns pants + shirts, common projects & a field jacket.

i can sell 90% and it wouldn't change how I look on a day to day basis.

Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of new shit I haven't gotten around to wearing and my method is slowly integrating them into the rotation. It is far superior than my day to day stuff so in a way I already have all my future cops but they're from the past. I drop them in when I want some change, so it's an honest transition not like a mannequin mimic or anything like that. There is no point in buying any more at this point is what I suppose I was trying to say. I'm sure you could do the same and cut off most future purposes.

Any sf food spot recs then? Not looking for high dining but dope places like all the rustic spots we have in LA.

Just move back to Miami, buy non-black clothing and enjoy biggrin.gif

its no biggie as its slowly departing, I am just bored of a lot of it. Also, I use to live in miami, ive lived in boca raton, miramar, orlando, and jacksonville. Tired of florida, no way I'd go back, not my scene.

Hang out by public high schools and Jamie Oliver might show up and cook you a meal.

The House in North Beach is pretty good. Haven't been in a few years. Hog Island Oyster is a nice spot on a sunny day. Beer + oysters overlooking the water. Swan Oyster has been around forever but I've never been. San Tung for some bomb chicken wings and stir fried Chinese food. R&G for more Chinese food.

If you're not leaving the actual city:

Breakfast/pastries - Tartine Bakery

Coffee - Philz

Snacks/between meal stops - Swan Oyster Depot, SOMA StrEAT food park (food trucks/microbrews on tap), Chez Papa Resto (just grab the steak tartare at the bar)

Burgers - a lot of places in SF make good burgers at least on par with Rustic Canyon not gonna lie

Pizza - Tony's Pizza Napoletana, Capo's, 00 (although the soft serve and fried chicken might be better than the pizza)

Noodles - Turtle Tower (get the CHICKEN pho), Halu (ramen)

Happy Hour - Nihon Whiskey Lounge (tons of whiskey, pretty good food)

Dinner - Zuni Cafe (the roast chicken for 2, order as soon as you are seated it takes forever, devour raw bar and rabbit salad while you wait), Saison (ballerish tasting menu), Zushi Puzzle (sushi), Incanto (Chris Cosentino's pride and joy)
*I left off some of the famous spots since you said you weren't interested so no Gary Danko/ Crenn / Fleur de Lys / Jardiniere etc.

Dessert - Bi-Rite Creamery, date spots - Luna Park / Candy Bar / Ghiradelli Square

all i want to do is wear unstructured blazers, listen to the soundtrack from risky business and eat expensive chocolate.

Turtle Tower Pho is good. Northern Style, nothing like what you find in OC.

Yes, that episode was solid.  He arrived at the fairmont as actually walked by my place on the way to swan oyster depot, and met up with the Chef of La Folie, which is fantastic, although it's unlikely I will be back anytime soon considering the foie gras ban.

I'll like to add NOPA for a sit down burger or ROAM for fast food burger.

I sincerely doubt I could pull it off, but this is so cool

RFT: would it be some form of heresy to get my canvas hoodcoat professionally dyed? Not that I even think there's anyone in my area that does that sort of thing, but something I've been mulling over
post #74085 of 99797
Don't dye that thing unless you're dying it deep purple
