good way to destroy shoes.
i know, i want to get at least one new pair this year. but i honestly just don't have a need for many, since my style isn't really variable

well, this is the product of a lot of deal hunting. I think the only pair I paid for price there was the rancourts, and they're a deal compared to quoddy and yuketen.

"Quality" is overrated but if you set yourself a ridiculously high minimum standard it helps to weed out most stuff.

pshhhhh gemmed shoes non ridiculous-ply knits <180s cotton shirts etc etc

nah that's not it.

You need to stop thinking about the ends and start enjoying the means.

Every time I've done something purely for the outcome I've ended up disappointed. Teach yourself to do things for the sake of doing them, not because you want something out of it.

you can't look at clothes like 'i just need this one thing and my wardrobe will complete!!'. if it's really something you're interested in, and not just a temporary hobby because fashion is at a point of cultural popularity, then you gotta accept you're never gonna be 'satisfied'.

^^ Yep and grails will forever change. It's an endless game. I remember when all I ever wanted in life was a pair of wings + horns x dayton boots, 3 years ago...

yeah, i know exactly what you guys are saying. i wasn't really trying to start some big existential discussion, i just saw a couple things that would find a good home in my wardrobe that were a good price.

i do need MTM shirts, and why would I pay $30 for a shirt that fits like shit, when I can pay $40 for something that fits perfectly?

and uniqlo trousers have a terrible fit and are junk quality. would rather buy jcrew off ebay, or go MTM.

MTM, a tailor ... whatever

You probably have your $40 MTM orders on lock so I will not say anymore.
