agree with what 4est said, at the end of the day you'll have a science (?) degree, that doesn't mean you
have to do your concentration for the rest of your life, I'm sure there are more career prospects out there than just research.
even beyond that, many companies look for people with a degree, and don't care so much what its in. I work at a finance firm and did an accounting degree so that fits quite well, but I have a friend who works there who did a photography degree, and my manager has a degree in marine biology. just sayin.
