I really liked the Barena, Yuketen, and Buttero coverage, I just don't have much to say about it


and speaking of blackbird scarves:

Me too. I really appreciate it, but it didn't necessarily inspire input or commentary from me. I guess that it makes it hard to measure if there's minimal commentary, though I'm assuming you're also basing the POV on traffic stats or something like that for the thread(s).

i take back every bad thing i've every said about blackbird's copy. i just read through all of the scarves. marketing genius.

Part of what I do for a living is write product copy, for a range of brands. It's always fun when someone lets their hair down enough to be silly. You need the basic info, but you also need to give people a reason to come back, a little affirmation that yes, they are in the right place and giving their money to the right people.

That's the best part of Pitti coverage- guys trying to look relaxed sitting on a concrete wall that is slightly too tall and curved to sit on comfortably.

Speaking of Buttero, I was intrigued by these, until I realized they've paired an expendable rubber sole with #8 shell, which can last forever.

It's actually surrounding the wierd installation in the middle of everything, so at some point, every one sits on the thing just to rest their feet. There is one high vantage point from which you can see the entire fair, and next time, I'll make sure to take a wide angle lens and take a shot from there. The place is immense. I've been to all types of tradeshows and conferences, and in a variety of industries, from Academia to tech, and nothing really resembles it. What really makes the place disorienting is that there are many tents and multistory built out facilities, which impedes your line of sight from any direction.

That wall is probably one of the more open spaces near the main pavilion. My personal coverage is nearly always outside of the main Pavilion. There is the second story of a building called "Altro Uomo", which is essentially "the heritage part of capsule, and a few more", which is much more quiet than the main pavilion, which is Kiton and Isaia and Edward Green and Drakes and Belvest and Cruciani, and all things CM. And then there is another building with Barena (definitely not MC, btw, if you've ever seen the stuff), and Yuketen, and Want les Essentials, and Mismo, and is generally "the more modern part of Capsule, and some more." Any pictures of me are nearly always in that location, away from the main scrum.

Maybe I'm alone here, but I found the way its set a bit odd, it would make more sense if it was set up like the other the sneak peeks etc. (a thread for each brand).


I was more refering to that (good) actors can shift shape/look, so how they look irl or in one movie, may not be the same as in the next one.




Have you seen beams website, their collections are massive and TBS, Porter etc. only have a couple pieces.

The MC name switch had me confused for awhile also.

And I will continue to call it MC.

It took me a while to figure out what CM was... And an even longer figure of time to figure out what it was before.
