I've been needing a haircut for weeks.

I'm ready to hack it off myself.

I've gone to the PO and have had 3 different people check (since they tell me they'll call back but of course they don't, and God forbid you try to accomplish anything on the phone with the PO) and they can't find it. I also thought about how occasionally packages will be marked delivered while still at the PO, but the supervisor said that the scanner that was used for the delivery confirmation is definitely the guy who normally does my route.

All other times this happened it was with a specific mailing service from Amazon (FedEx Smartpost, where they hand it off to USPS), so I thought it was just specific to that. I have had no problems with normal packages until now, and I get quite a lot of packages.

I have to go every 2 weeks or so. My hair grows too fast.

that sucks gtrans, recently i had a packaged marked as delivered to office on saturday (which is impossible since it's closed on sat) and they said it was just marked delivered but went into a sack for special no-sat deliveries in that zip code and they delivered monday to central mail services which is a totally different building and actually it wasn't there nor was it at the post office, essentially disappeared in limbo somewhere. fortunately it was just 10$ and amazon refunded me anyway since it was one of the partner distributors.

also a package coming from germany via dhl (local not express) handed off to usps and it just appeared despite being in customs in chicago still

Wow, that's some basic level incompetence. Not even human error stuff. Don't suppose it was insured?

There is always a baseline insurance, but since it's marked delivered they won't do anything, which is why this is ultimately the worst possible situation. I can't expect a refund from the store and USPS can't be held accountable because the "documentation" says they've done their job, at least that's what I was told. Dunno. The supervisors are helpful, the other employees are pieces of shit.

You could have the vendor file a claim for you on their end. This way USPS can reimburse the vendor and in return refund you. My girl bought some shoes, shipped to my place and the exact same thing happened. She got notice of tracking, showed that it went out for delivery and eventually showed delivered. No packages or notice from USPS for delivery. She had the vendor file a claim and about 2 weeks of fighting got everything back, sans shoes.

Yeah, I'm talking to J from Suspoint about it and he has been very helpful. Props all around to him for being patient and as responsive as he is, considering his current travel plans. I think I'm going to go to the PO again sometime this week and see what I can do, I think there is a thing where they will admit fault in writing and that can be used to claim. The supervisor I spoke to was pretty supportive and didn't even question me when I explained that it was not actually delivered.

Open a claim with the postal service, and immediately put a claim in with your credit card if you paid with one. Explain the situation. Something good will come of this, I am certain.
