The only thing annoying about Barney's is opening their packages, which FWIW is a good thing. Plus, they deliver Saturdays. *Thumbs up*

Just picked up a bunch of non washed RRL denim on sale this past week at Barneys. Such a good feeling to rediscover something you love and getting it for super cheap

Precisely. satisfied.gif

Tried to find a photo of it online, but I literally can't find it anywhere. I'm going to try calling the SA at Barney's tomorrow (really cool guy btw) to see if he's any more information on it. That said, it was certainly a blazer; but with buttons leading all the way up to the neck, it was almost like an officer's jacket (minus military styling). I guess the funniest part of the whole thing is that it was Givenchy. I always assumed that I would hate anything by Givenchy. Just shows how ignorant I was of their stuff. shog[1].gif

i had a long conversation with my dad about him redoing his house, and he mentioned that he paid for the entire kitchen with amex reward points, and today i got an amex green. seems like such a waste to put all my day-to-day shit on my debit card when i could be getting reward points for it.

feel like my whole wardrobe only consists of "sure cool" and "yeah nice"-items, really need some piece/pieces that make you go "damn son" laugh.gif

just got a check for 145 bones from my capital one today for copping up a storm past couple of months, 0 interest too

i thought about just using my chase rewards card, but decided on the amex because the charge card aspect will force me to pay it off, and the built in extra warranty is good on electronics

Yea, I never use my debit anymore. Day-to-day stuff adds up and in a few months you might have enough to buy a pair of socks!

Just think of not using a card that gives you cash back as paying an extra 1+% tax on everything you buy.  it's foolish not to use it if possible. (yes i understand lots of places are cash only / it's good to tip in cash / etc)

That's exactly my thinking recently, SPG Amex is good and with $5000 in charges in the first 6 months you get 25k points. Might make that engagement ring worth it. Almost...

Never understood why people had so many misconceptions about credit cards. Plenty of classmates at business school (midwest) openly talked about how it was bad to use a credit card and that you should use cash / debit instead. I rarely carry more than $40 cash and always charge to my card, even if it's a $1 or something. Plus you get to track all your spending right away. Like others have mentioned you get % back but you also get extra protections (especially with AMEX) and an additional 30 days to pay it off. As long as you always pay off it's essentially 0% loans each month.
