They have opened up a "flagship"shop in Stockholm, so I plan on dropping by, the next time I'm in Stockholm and grope a mac. smile.gif
Have you had a look at Norwegian rain?

They are almost the same price, but one is rubberized cotton and one is oiled, so it's a preference thing I guess.
Franz Boone has some nice pictures of the Sutterheim.

When are you planning to go there?

Well, "mellandagsrea" starts around 26th in pretty much all the stores and lasts for a few weeks, so there's good stuff to be found fing02[1].gif

(though it's not unlikely you already knew that )

For those still wondering about the quality of the h&mmm stuff:

The store near my still has a really good selection.  A lot of it is falling apart on the rack.

  • The sweaters, in particular the wool/alpaca tribal thing, are covered in thread pulls already and feel like they're pill really easily.  They're really soft, which is surprising considering they're undoubtedly really cheap wool, but I have a feeling they were doused in fabric softener to make them that way, especially since most of the threads felt pretty wimpy.  This is excepting the pendant cardigan, which felt like a doormat.
  • Everything cotton (inside-out jeans, trousers, shirts) felt really thin and shitty, no different from regular h&m wares.
  • I tried on the camel coat and it had a huge hole in the sleeve lining.  The wool was ok I guess though.
  • The white leather jacket thing is enormously oversized.  It looked good on the model but I'm not really sure who could pull it off, maybe if you were like 6'6".  I'm a 40 and the small sorta fit.  The leather (?) also felt pretty plasticky.

On the plus side:

  • The cuts on the blazers are killer.  At $30 and $35, I bought one of each (snowman blazer and fused grey blazer).  I suspect the quality is as crummy as the other stuff but I don't really care at that price, they're pretty cropped and just look awesome.
  • The boots aren't nearly as nice as the real thing (whoever said that is nuts) but they're a really great deal for $50.  I got the white ones.  They're pretty stiff/plasticky though, and not that comfortable, but they feel substantial.  I won't be heartbroken if the sole comes unglued within the next year since I'm half expecting that.

I have been planing a trip to malmø on the 26th, but with the weather as it is I'm staying inside.

Was just out night pissing with the dog and he could drag me down the street like I was on a sled, he weighs 11kg and I was in hiking boots. uhoh.gif

So how's that Lululemon shit? I'm split between looking for luxe sweatpants and actually breathable sweatpants that I could realistically wear while getting my trikonasana on. Or any other suggestions for yoga-wear that looks decently cool? (Let's leave Devoa aside, sadly.)

can't comment on fit (probably not great) but lululemon stuff is good quality IME

Lululemon mats are the best, forget mandukas.  Especially if you sweat as much as I do, I can now focus on form and forget about my hands slipping, it has completely changed my practice. I prefer the inversion pants over the looser studio pants, their online store is always low on stock though, and sizing is a crap shoot, best to go to a retail location if you have one nearby.

slightly related: I wish Isaora wasn't so shoddily made, like VSLI my isaora sweats have been chucked after first pilling and then coming apart at the seams.  Its pitiful that a company with such great designs can't follow through in the construction.

Definitely want to get a mat from them. Regarding yoga pants, I just stumbled across these guys:

and

Might pick up a pair of one of 'em.

Rsft: normal life has quietly continued without thumb-comments.

I know these look goofy, but its really nice having your pants stay in place. Also I think they hold up better than a jersey material after repeated washing and abuse, no pilling.
