Have been stalking a Margiela belt (the bi-color blue suede and dove grey one.) Pull there trigger at $119 at Barney's today. (which means, hopefully, it actually is in stock). Down from $270. Wanted that belt since it came out, but I have so many already, so it was a "Let's see if my size goes to deep discount somewhere."

I think that this is the way we should approach sales - as a chance to pick up something you have actually wanted, but can't really justify at retail.

You mean order from some site in EU home to me, and then send it to US? sure, though you realize you won't get any VAT-deduction then?

The danish tax/vat gives vat refunds for stuff you can prove that you shipped out of the EU, the swedish should do the same.

KOY: you learn something new everyday. smile.gif

I'm pretty sure the shops don't pay the vat they say you pay, as they file them as sold out the EU, so it's 20% extra right down their pocket and it's basically tax evasion. angry.gif

Opening Ceremony is so great. 4 day processing and still no shipment notification yet, no messages as to whether it's out of stock or not like usual, and I even paid for 2 day shipping (because normal 5 day shipping is already 10 dollars...yay). What a great webstore

I would offer to show you around, but I have a feeling you are a much better skier than I. The extent of near death for me was when I nearly got knocked out by the chairlift when I wasn't paying attention.

When are you guys going to learn that you should only ever place phone orders to OC, especially during sale time?

Yeah I just read that swedish stores aren't obliged to give any kind of refund unless they state so (for example) on their website or in store.

Will check with the post-office if there's any way to get the VAT-refund sent to the receipent "outside" EU if the package is bought "inside" EU, would probably increase the amount of requests for proxy quite a bit laugh.gif
