I've had good luck with Tailorstore and Cottonwork.

Luxire is the flavour of the month on MC, and they have a thread where you can ask questions. Looks excellent value for money, and you can specify exactly what you want and they'll do it.

The thing to remember with a white hidden placket shirt is that you want a plain weave. It's easy to get tempted by all the oxford and herringbone weave fabrics but stick to the plain weaves for that type of shirt. That's one of the general problems with online mtm, there's so much variety and not everything is going to end up looking good.

It's also best to take shirt measurements from your best fitting shirt rather than let them guess with your body measurements. You can always slightly alter the measurements where it doesn't fit perfectly.

I've never seen anyone use this phrase, except in a Robert Stone novel. I love it.

I don't mind the concept, but I'd rather it continued to find its home in editorials and photo spreads. It seems silly for the "official face of Dior menswear" to be a woman when they are supposedly attempting to sell said men's clothes to, you know, men. I don't want to see Saskia in all the menswear campaign shots at the expense of seeing men wearing men's clothes, and there's all the time in the world to explore gender-bending in editorials.

Maybe this is how women feel about Pejic; "Oh great, a [ ] in my clothes.".

also pretty sure I have the same blazer that Paul McCartney is wearing. Either that or it's made of the same fabric.

I'm certainly not opposed to it in concept, whether it be Pejic doing bridal for JPG, Saskia doing YSL's menswear, or even meggings () if it's done "well". Late DH was wicked slim in the shoulder, small in the chest, and this is just an extension of that, I suppose.

 

Regardless, the impression I had from the article was more they're not splitting it Womenswear/Menswear so much as Womenswear/Everyone Else. Just seems like more evidence Hedi is treating this like his little playground to try whatever and have fun with photography more than "Let's go sell a ton of clothes".
