Looks like neither of my trusted tailors will touch the unionmade Harris Tweed CDW jacket due to it all being quilted together (down is in between the HT outer and the nylon inner lining). Looks like it is going back!

yea, that's a dumb move. probably just produce a bunch of pieces with zippers that don't have a purpose.

Tisci was named GQ designer of the year (0). His pre-Fall 2013 features doberman prints instead of rottweilers (0).

Just have it taken in on the sides. It fits great everywhere else, but is much too wide in the body. I'm having the crazy thought of doing it myself. I've done it before with quilted (not down) shirts.

Ah... well, I would think that if anyone could do it, you could. It's a fantastic piece of clothing - I handled it in-store and strongly considered buying it.

Yeah, shit. I think I will go for it. I'm pretty sure half the reason they didn't want to tackle it is because they didn't want feathers floating around their shops.

The nice thing is, the down is in little square compartments, so I would just have to pull the feathers out of the squares along the side seam, and then re-stuff them as I stitched it back up.
