Random fashion thoughts - Page 4546

I've been thinking about this. Alcohol can't be sent internationally, so that wouldn't work sexonfabric.. Also, liquid is pretty heavy, so in order to keep costs down shipping wise, I would recommend no alcohol internationally.

I guess i wouldn't mind setting up a thread, I'd like to impose a minimum of $100 with a maximum of infinity. Therefore no one will get burned, start it off with 30 people to make 15 matches. These people would have to say 'i'm in, i live here, i'm willing/not willing to ship internationally' then i'll pair everyone off, set a shipping deadline and go from there.

Deal?

It would be nice to have the pairs done by sunday, and setting a shipping deadline for next sunday. that way most of us will receive our packages before christmas!

Don't think rushing it in a week makes any sense....plus I'd imagine everyone is having enough trouble buying gifts for friends and family currently without trying to get stuff for SF.

We'll have to start two threads. The baller version will have a $700 minimum of course. That way we can know who the real SF ballers are.

I figured since most people are going to be out doing this already, it wouldn't take much to add a few items for a random stranger.

sufu isn't done in pairs. like the person you send a package to isn't who you get a package from. i think that's a better way to go as it keeps it more interesting and more of a community event.

Don't think it will work well rushing it, it'd be better to set up a thread now so people get to know about it, and then everyone sends the packages after christmas (a lot of people likely already have doezens of gifts they have to buy for family and what not else to arrange)

Had missed this, but I agree that would be more interesting than doing it in pairs

Also, setting a minimum really is against the whole point of the super swap. It's not supposed to be a "send people expensive stuff" swap, it's supposed to be "send people cool stuff." Which may or may not have significant monetary value. If you look at the super swap thread the best packages weren't the most expensive but the most personal (either to the sender or the recipient), interesting, and creative.

Probably gonna make the thread in a little bit. Would anyone want to co-chair and help me out with this?

I'll help, I'm good at organizing.
