I recently bought an old (1996) Helmut Lang bomber. Though I expected a bit of wear, seller didn't mention anything in the listing or have any pictures showing it. When I received it, the ribbed cuffs were torn to shit - like not wearable. There were snags in many places (trimmed them with a sweater shaver to reduce appearance though), and the pocket stitching is a bit loose. The cuffs need to be replaced. I was recommended on sz to buy a pair off ebay and take them to a tailor. I was told this would be cheap (I think), but wanted a few more opinions if possible. Anyone done something similar to this before? I'm concerned about how noticeable it will be (if at all (too optimistic?

)) and how much it will cost. I know it will vary between tailors, but just an idea would be nice.
Also, I've contacted the seller about this. I did not pay as gift, so I have leverage I think. Any idea on how I should go about this? I've told him I deserve a partial refund but haven't heard back. I sent him two messages. He's been online since I sent the first one. Tsk tsk...
In other news, ugly sweater party next Friday. I wonder if that Raf from last fall is still available...
