I'll quote BB1 here as I think he nailed it:

Because the cut is subdued, you can barely tell it's boot cut from the front or rear views. Only from the side profile is it overly noticeable.
With certain outfits boot cut can actually look better. For example when pairing an over sized jacket (e.g. M65) with the forum's preferred jean fit of "tight at the ankles" the overall silhouette can look unbalanced, top heavy, and peg leg like. Whereas the same bulky jacket paired with the right boot cut will still look slim in the legs but the wider bottom hem balances things by providing some additional bottom heft.

Most of the things people hate about bootcut jeans, which tend to be shitty washes, stitching and processing, don't have anything to do with the cut at all – though mall-brand bootcut is usually awful.

wjk has the most SF-friendly examples.

i think i'll just get a robe (marni?) and white muji slippers and cook instead during free time. better than kopping esp since i only buy one type of thing anyway. maybe i'll sell annD trousers and even cdgh+ jacket and CP sneakers to fund baller knives and get a very fine precise even cut on everything.

magical worms -> golden dust

bon appétit à moi !

edit: am juicing like a maniac too

It's as though one is a small boutique and the other is a big-box operation. Nutty.

actually LVR has multiple store fronts, a dedicated online shop and I guarantee has much fewer people working for them than uniqlo. in any case, I think it's still extraordinary that a shop in italy can still get me a shipment all the way to los angeles in 2 days. yoox can't even do that from new jersey.

luisa is awesome. a little pricey, but they have great shit and their customer service is great.

I want a dope peacoat. Any ideas? I was thinking of just going with this J. Crew one: http://www.jcrew.com/mens_feature/NewArrivals/outerwear/PRDOVR~22010/22010.jsp

I know I know, that's why I said "just get that one," as in, if worse comes to worse. I don't know where to look for peacoats...
