Does anyone else have problems searching the Sufu B&S? When I try to use keywords, I only get results from June 2012 and earlier. How am I supposed to find anything in that hellhole w/o search functionality?

that was me. it's on the list of projects to finish off and release but contracting and internship interviews have to come first. Will probably get around to it circa March if work dries up

What do you guys think about bootcut jeans? Personally, I think they're pretty feminine but I've heard a couple people complaining that Levi's isn't making one of their bootcut fits anymore.

the mere thought of bootcut jeans bring back horrific images of diesels and true religion paired with sandals or mocassins and belong back in 1999 along with 40inch hem kikwears, gats and jncos.

Don't use "feminine" as a pejorative. Makes you sound like an idiot.
Bootcut jeans are not in fashion right now. Though I'm sure they could be made to work.

Bootcut jeans are huge in Japan and look pretty good, I think.  The flare on those starts lower, though, more like mid-calf.  Regular bootcut also looks fine if you have an RRL/Americana type thing going on (and are wearing boots, duh).

I'll quote BB1 here as I think he nailed it:

Because the cut is subdued, you can barely tell it's boot cut from the front or rear views. Only from the side profile is it overly noticeable.
With certain outfits boot cut can actually look better. For example when pairing an over sized jacket (e.g. M65) with the forum's preferred jean fit of "tight at the ankles" the overall silhouette can look unbalanced, top heavy, and peg leg like. Whereas the same bulky jacket paired with the right boot cut will still look slim in the legs but the wider bottom hem balances things by providing some additional bottom heft.

Most of the things people hate about bootcut jeans, which tend to be shitty washes, stitching and processing, don't have anything to do with the cut at all – though mall-brand bootcut is usually awful.

wjk has the most SF-friendly examples.
