I almost never post my recent purchases. I posted after the Patrik Ervell sample sale because I wanted to let people know what was there, other than that I can't remember the last time I posted a recent purchase. If I want to floss I post in WAYWT.

I feel like it's a good time to post this quote again:

"As for Clothing, to come at once to the practical part of the question, perhaps we are led oftener by the love of novelty, and a regard for the opinions of men, in procuring it, than by true utility." -Thoreau, 1854

Uhm, reedo isn't exactly "new", so...

a lot of what teger writes is true. Also, many people take SF way to seriously.

I could have been reading it wrong, as only Teger knows what he intended, but I interpreted those first two posts not as an attack on reedo as a person/poster, but just using reedo as an easily identifiable/relatable vessel for a greater point he was trying to make about the dangers both of group-think-and-hype as a means to (ironically enough) aspirations of individuality as well as the e-points/i-cred addictiveness that can occur in social media that is removed from your actual social circle.

but maybe he really was just taking a stab at him, who knows.

This is a pretty fair analysis, but I think there was probably a touch of malice in teger's post that rubbed me the wrong way. He's never been particularly positive towards me, so I guess I took it more personally than I should, while also acknowledging the truth in his words

There's really no malice. When I first posted here I went through (an admittedly brief) cycle of hype/kop/hype/kop.

I have a really fancy dinner to attend at 6:00 tonight, it's 30 mins away, and I won't get home until 4:45ish. Really want to take a shower and make my hair all pretty but won't have time. Time to throw some product in and hope it works!

I have just gone through the same thought process. Annual lecture and reception in 30 mins, have not showered in at least two days, everything I own is filthy. Time to werk it.
