If anyone thought I was writing in earnest about the "ultimate in bachelorhood" in the Contentedness thread, I'll be terribly disappointed.

For the ultimate in bachelorhood, refer to my signature.

Siki Im makes something very similar to what you described. http://www.antonioli.eu/products/19056-siki-im-coat?gen=men Though if you can find it in the U.S. it will be a lot cheaper.

back to the uniform talk from a day or two ago (not sure if in this thread or waywt, but FUCKIT), i really want to get a mid weight, waist level jacket that i can wear more or less daily. something analogous to tween's green junya jacket. but something relatively inexpensive so I don't "feel bad" about fucking it up. i dunno, maybe i'm off base with how i should be looking at clothing right now, but this is how i feel. i actually think the levi's x filson would fit the bill nicely. there're some eg jackets out there too that would be nice, but retail is too much, gotta keep hunting b&s.

denim jacket is the way to go for that imo, that's what my margiela 5-zip is for - it looks good but it was under $200 and i won't be crushed (just annoyed) if it gets ruined/stolen.

I just got this from Gap for like $88 after 30% off. very heavy and thick wool with a nice navy plaid pattern. Hits at the waist, very warm and compact; perfect for winter

has anyone been to a NorthernGrade pop up before? I just missed one when it was in Chicago a couple weeks ago.

the only issue with a denim jacket is i wear denim pants a lot, and i'm not a fan of the "canadian tuxedo."

Sorry, I was including the filson jacket in that category.  Check out geller, too, i think used his denim jackets are in a pretty nice price range

I just can't get past Mark from Peep Show when I see Harringtons.

I mean, aesthetically, I can't find anything wrong with them but
