Why so self conscious? People will not respect you more if you immediatly start whining and talking about your dick, everytime someone points out your shortcomings.

I just think you base your opinion on a very limited set of designers/houses which you happen to have experience with/miss right now. There was a decline in the time period you describe for these selected few, thats true. But to condemn the current situation based on that is not consequent. Jil was a number to big for raf, but she is back now. VB is back and will do a mens line (Gibo would be dumb if they wouldn t let her). YSL will also get a makeover, because that amateur photograph wants to show that he still got it. NG will start his own line too and will deliver.

I first thought Balenciaga was not as taken by surprise by NGs departure as they try to make everyone believe, and that they want to push a new talent as his successor. I am not so sure about it now. I still think it would be a smart move for them to give it to someone like Pedro Lourenco or Theyskens, but I guess they will not take that risk and throw away an opportunity.

Even for the western fashion circus its not as bad as you guys make it look like and thats leaving out the asian guys, which actually gained momentum during that time period.

Dunno, I'm finding a good deal of inspiration in the futurist folks-- siki, alexandre, christophe, etc. if there's a design slump in 2012, it doesn't seem to have reached them.

I'm impressed APC's cut worked on you. I found it to be one of the strangest cuts of any of the suits I've tried

If your body is pretty standard (6" drop), there are lots of discounted suits online. I always recommend CKC, for example. Of course, since I have a nonstandard drop, I have to go with separates. In which case I'd actually recommend Rag & Bone's Danbury or Ellington models, which IIRC are about 1k.
