most of the clothes you buy and wear from MMM are basic. basic here means 'there's nothing other than the tag to identify them as being made by MMM.'

i have handled MMM. i have owned MMM. i like the line, and i don't really care if they collaborate with H&M.

Apart from their knits, I don't think there's anything they make that couldn't be mall brand priced, with the right quantities.

I don't either, I could care less really and that is my favorite "brand"

Well here is the thing, its not important to me wether you cant tell if my V-neck sweater is BR or Margiela. Im my opinion more of often than not they take a "basic" piece and make it better (fit, materials, etc). I don't pretend to know anything of substance about fashion, I just buy what I like

my "margiela is shit" comment was kind of just joking, but yeah, nothing I've ever seen form there strikes me as "omg i want that." I'm materials/construction/etc is nice and I actually really like some of the knits and the sidezips are alright, but the majority of the stuff strikes me as bland and uninspired. oh yeah, and GATs suck.

i also couldn't give a fuck about the h&m x mmm collab, it's actually probably going to be alright if you're into that type of stuff. i'd rather see a brand like mmm do some shit to make money so they can make their clothing better rather than try to stay "true" to some idealized self image which ultimately hurts their business. granted, mmm is probably in no position of financial hardship, but...yeah. this probably doesn't make sense, sorry i havne't slept in like 2 days.

Margiela is not seem evil, unseemly bunch of punk sellouts chopping off your balls and selling them to the 14-year olds down the street. The only label, the only label, we should all ever pile on is Balmain because they slaughter small children to make their $5,000 leather jackets and they don't even pay a 13% tax rate. Fuckers.
