think he's talking about the older lanvin's. only the high tops with the new sole are made in italy, the rest are now made in portugal.

woah, i just had a revelation. check this out

so, yoox has a staggering number of "made in italy" products. like, it's crazy

And way back when, I watched the movie Gomorrah, part of which details the involvement of the mob in the italian clothing industry

So... I would love to know how much of the merchandise sold on Yoox is financed/managed/influenced by the mafia. They should label those brands as such, maybe with a little red dot or something. And every few months, they could have a promotion. Get 15% off the dotted items with the code GOTOTHEMATTRESSES@YOOX. boom

Probably. But I do like that although they ripped off their designs, they definitely are very well made, and not standard knock-off fare.

Yeah DA is a legit designer brand and I think they just got a hold of the factory that made the Lanvin shoes and copied them. So I do not really expect the quality to be that of Ebay or bootleg RO or Jordans.

There was a six-page article on the Yoox group in the New Yorker last week.  Unfortunately I can't link it to you because it's not one of the free ones, but if you're interested it's kinda cool.  To answer your question, probably very little.  The founder's basically a tech geek that saw an opening.

just came across this brand Boden. They have so much great basic pieces with a price range of Jcrew. I love this waxed cotton peacoat in khaki
