Why is that a 12 minute video should have been two.

Clearly this video renders SW&D obsolete.

Some of Robert Geller's favorite music. It def shows through in his clothing, I can't think of a single other designer who's music taste has influenced his collections as much.

is this really what the hypebeast kids are doing nowadays?

stuffing their shoes with grocery bags and reusing the stock cardboard shoe tree if you can even call it a 'shoetree'

i envied the kids back in high school with their jordans and nikes, but was always the prep type so never really developed an affinity for that hobby. i understand it also has very much to do with the actual sport of basketball that i did not get much involved with until later.

i did for a time stuff my sneakers with socks fwiw.

but stuffing grocery bags into your shoes or wearing wearable shoetrees omfg. the whole time i just want to scream 'buy a fucking real shoetree you', your shoes are bound to crease.

then i thought how many of these kids have OCD and would make a great candidate in MC or #menswear (probably the latter)

it's just maddening to see how much conviction they have in their ability to keep the shoe from creasing. what a bunch of smart guys (5) re: sportsfreak

i know kids that bought their shoes 1-2 sizes too small so their toes would crimp up and keep their shit from creasing

^ Funny. I've heard some people size up so the shoes fit lose and dont bend as much when walking, resulting in less creasing.

Good god, both of those things sound so fucking terrible

I dangle my sneakers from my ears and walk barefoot

Usually prevents creasing pretty well

Leaving LA this Friday and will be hitting up the following over the next 17 days: London, Paris, parts of Germany, Milan, Monte Carlo, other parts of England

Will be in Germany for a wedding on 8/31 wherein I am one of two "best men"

beyond the wedding attire, I am packing the following:

APCs

RRL officer chinos

Epaulet french blue chinos

H&M linen pants

Uniqlo shorts

swim trunks

tops:

blue & white Epaulet OCBDs

purple gingham Epaulet shirt

plaid madras Gant shirt

mtm green linen shirt

hanes white v-necks

shoes:

MMM GATs

MMM side-zips

J&M black captoe bals (for the wedding)

Espadrilles (for the beach)

outerwear:

H&M cotton unlined navy blazer (coke dealer jacket, just machine washed it for extra softness)

Epaulet navy hopsack blazer (for rehearsal dinner, Milan, and possibly casinos in Monte Carlo)

SNS stark (in case it gets cold in England)

plan to buy:

Uniqlo white jeans

Uniqlo v-necks of assorted colors

better black captoes if I come across them

possibly some suede loafers if I can find any that fit well

sorry for the boring lists, but you guys have seen most of what I have in my fit pics so is there anything else I should think of bringing (esp. if you're in any of those places right now, any weather or activities you think I should anticipate) or anything else I should add to my "to buy" list and be on the lookout for?

I find that some type of some type of lightweight summer jacket like a harrington becomes my go-to when i'm travelling because of the pockets. Will you use the H&M one as this? If not it might be worth taking one or just picking one up at uniqlo or wherever if you get the chance.

I gave the cardboard "toe box" trick for a couple weeks way back when I was still wearing sneakers I cared about creasing. It was as terrible as it sounds, still wasn't all that effective, and gave you a perpetual self-awareness that you were intentionally walking around with god damn cardboard inside your shoes.
