can't believe i'm having this dumbass conversation on a forum where $600 sneakers are normal

I actually buy Apple products because they mesh well with the style of my Bose sound system and my minimalist Danish furniture (10 - like any decent person, my office space is a clutter of computers and monitors of dubious provenance, office furniture in convenient and easy to clean black from Office Depot, and the rest of my house is a jumble of mixed stuff accumulated over a decade, with kids' stuff creating frequent health hazards.)

fwiw, I've never bought sneakers for $600. $300 is an upper limit. Unlike some, I actually don't coddle my kicks (I was helping with construction the other day, pouring concrete in this seasons Common Projects.)

Yoox is a great place to restock on older season items you wished that you'd bought several of.

I really like Yoox too

I am still going to compile a list of all the SF approved labels so I know what to check for instead of going through ALL the shoes, or ALL the pants, or ALL the jackets even though that is what makes it fun.

I love browsing the place. The surprises and unexpected are what make me going back. I am probably at a different stage than many. At this point, I have pretty everything I need, and my purchases are maintenance (old kicks are old, jeans are old, etc... and need to be replaced), or am looking for things that are new and exciting. I use MTO for things that I cannot find, but of which I have a strong picture.

That said, the new Yoox site is sad. It has lost a lot of the distinctiveness that made it Yoox, and it looks a lot like a more difficult to navigate Revolve.

We are ourselves prepping for a bit of a facelift on the forum (the current colors and fonts were chosen by me and J over one night in 2005). We'd needed it for a while, but did not have a person we trusted to understand the forum. With Parker consulting, we are much more confident we'll come up with something good.

Really want a TOJ Parka or Duffle Coat for this winter, but considering they're on hiatus, I may not get one in time for winter. Think I should just go ahead and get one from somewhere else? Any favorites that are similar styling?

Dude, no one wants me to play ball, or watch me play ball. I found out somewhere in my late teenage years that I sucked at any sport that didn't have to do with beating people up.

Centered formatting dramatically increases post count accumulation rate.  It is known.

I totally agree with all your points. Finding that one unexpected item is definitely better than waiting for things to reappear or adding stuff to your Dreambox.

Also I am looking forward to what Parker brings to the table.

I can understand playing basketball in GATs but why would you ever do any kind of moderate physical activity in drop crotch anything?
