even by hipster club standards club chuck is pretty crap these days. but its still cheap. informal sf baltimore meetup next week?
actually my sat. plans just fell through. take me to a party with bougie hopkins girls.
i'll see what's up but summer classes end this week so the next few weeks are dead around here until classes start up again. i can make that happen this fall though.
i think i'm free saturday so if you want, we can try and make it work. i don't have an id anymore, but can usually get into club charles. i agree thats its pretty bad, i only go with desi and his roommate/landlord because his landlord loves the place for whatever reason (/loves the hot blonde waitress, lol).
My guess is the dudes who live/breathe the aesthetic because they sell it daily are more comfortable wearing it than the web designer who buys the clothes but then can't figure out how to carry himself when he finally has to speak to another person

Well yeah this is all my point. The dudes who work in it every day and do it for a living obviously are going to be more comfortable than a guy who got his first career job and has a lot of disposable cash, but still doesn't have any self-confidence. 99% of the dudes I see wearing it look ridiculous, mostly because they have really bad posture and act awkward. When its done right, it looks great.
This is also true for basically all fashion but Goth Ninja stands out a lot more than awkward dudes in button ups.
Each post will have a pic of a fashion person looking visibly uncomfortable (regardless of the aesthetic), accompanied by some motivating quote about self confidence. We'll even throw in that Rick quote somewhere
Some of the Atelier guys look great. But sometimes I go in there and I'll see someone who's just overdone it. It goes from clothes to costume, if that makes sense. That seems to be the exception rather than the rule though. One of my favorite "fashion" moments in NYC: seeing Karlo walking down the street in Soho in his flowing black garb, looking like a warlock, eating a waffle from the Waffles & Dinges truck.
Well a few of the forum peeps, go surface, kunk do it real well. Fuuma of course too. None of them work in fashion.
Despite his (somewhat-deserved) hate on here sq4you carries it well too.
Aside from kunk, who's wearing rick all day every day and treats it like gym wear, you just named the two most distinctive, irreverent and inventive/put together guys on the whole internetz. Not sure that's fair.
Givenchy couldn't be bothered to put an opening front on their leather this season so instead glued some wool stars to the neck area and called it a day.
But it will still set you back $6400 because Tisci threw some zippers on the sides.
Warning: Spoiler!(Click to show)
wouldn't touch that at even 90% off, that thing is horrendous.
